I’d been meaning to make a Journal Jar for ages and this article at Organized Christmas kicked me in to action.
The jar I used is one that my Dad had used to make a really cool personalised jar of licorice allsorts for me. The coffee aged label reads “Old MacFarkles Bestest Lickorish Assortment” and is decorated with celtic knotwork. The jar is special, so having eaten all the licorice I really wanted to find a use for it. Voila – the Journal Jar.
For the prompt tags I made a decorated word template with 44 tags per page then collected prompts from all over the web to fill it with. The prompt you can see in the middle of the photograph is from Keri Smith’s 100 Ideas page. I also found some great prompts on the Journal Writing Pages and the LiveJournal Pretend Writer Community.
