Here’s my answers to the Booked by 3 Meme. This month’s topics are on bookplates and Shelly refers to the MyHomeLibrary site as a great place to get printable ones too.

1. Do you use bookplates (For those who don’t know, they’re nice designs on paper you glue into books to claim them as yours)?

• I have a lovely set of celtic patterned bookplates here, but I have to admit I’ve only ever used one of them on a book.

2. Do you write your name in your books?

• I don’t on my everyday reading books, but I do write my name and phone number in pencil inside my textbooks. That’s just a practical thing though, with everyone in the class having the same book it makes it far too easy to pick up the wrong one!

3. Do you attach stickers with your name and / or other info into your books?

• Only if it’s a BookCrossing book. Oh, sometimes I slip one of my business cards inside when I loan a book. It seems to have the added benefit of the reader using it as a bookmark, so no folded corners!
